As the son of the late Bishop Simpson Baker Jr., Pastor Eric followed in his father’s footsteps and accepted the call to ministry. He and his wife, Pastor Denise Baker, are graduates of Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. They obtained their Theology degrees in 1998, and came back to North Carolina to serve HPCC. After many years of serving the ministry as the youth pastors, they became the assistant pastors. Pastor Eric and Denise were ordained as the head pastors of High Point Christian Center in 2021. Pastor Eric and Denise are the wonderful parents of six beautiful children. He began pastoring at St. Anthony’s Temple in High Point, NC, in September of 1977. In 1986, Pastor Baker began “Faith Word Assembly” which he began inside his family home. The ministry started with ten people including his wife, Pastor Delgrachia Baker, and their children. Hash of St. Peter’s World Outreach Center. Bishop Baker Jr lived a life that honored God and his word. He was committed to equipping and rebuilding families. He trained men and women to be strong faithful followers of God.
